What size and brand winch do people recommend?
I am getting the winch because we are moving to Darwin from w.a in 2024, the territory doesn't look like the place to mess around with big tides, mud and not to mention crocs.
Lwb GQ, probably weighs 2.5t on average with around 3t when we go on big trips. We go pretty much everywhere with just the one car, very very rarely have other vehicles to help us so I definitely want something reliable, but not overpriced. I am already spending nearly 10k on the car with new suspension, a winch bar and a few other goodies so I do want to keep the cost down, but I definitely want quality and reliability. Not after a cheap xtm winch or anything that I might regret.
I have had my eye on a 10,000lb warn Evo for 1200$. Is this going to do us for most situations? It's mainly for insurance more than constant use hopefully.
