i have a dilemma as to whether to keep fixing the 3 litre gas/petrol motor OR to find a 4.2 TD motor....?

personally id go the td42 but there is a lot of work in fitting it.. different gearbox, fuel tank and lines, pretty sure the engine mounts on the chassis are different (someone on here can confirm that) etc etc.
but u said " nissan 3 ltr/maverick motor", is yours a maverick?
cause they did not come out with 3 ltr motors in the fords at all, just 4.2 petrol and 4.2 diesel...

Well I guess it would come down to money. Fixing the 3 litre will be cheap, and parts are readily available for them. 4.2TD on the other hand will be getting expensive, but will be more reliable once you get everything set up properly.

So if you got the money, go the 4.2, otherwise fix your 3 litre up. :)
