Sounds a fair bit like an urban legend, couldn't find it on snopes though.

Definitely a bit phoney though, something about it just doesn't ring true :p

There is a generation of yuppys with the same problem.

Only its the other hole.

And it wasn't put there by a doctor.

I replaced the head gaskets on a Commodore V6, and because I was using my iPhone to access the service manual, I left the bastard in the V and bolted the intake manifold on.

Car runs good but.

LOL :)

Actually I think I left a 1/4" drive 3" extension in the v - seriously - because it's no longer in my kit, and whenever the VT turned left there was a clunk that couldn't be explained. Most likely it was somewhere in the front subframe, where I couldn't see it - but I could never shake the feeling that maybe I'd left it in the V... and it's flat in the V6 valley so it could certainly happen.

I wrote to Garry Crick Nissan years ago about how quiet the vehicle was on the inside, I said all I can hear is the clock, they immediately sent someone out to fit a quieter one.
