I have mine hanging from the rafters on my pergola using ratchet straps. Works fine, let off ratchet and it "unwinds" slow enough not to be a problem.

Roof rack storage in the garage
G-Day all,
Bought a roof rack which is great but it create's some serious drag around town so I thought I would store it tied up to the ceiling out of the way when not needed.
I am going to Bunnings to pick up some small pulley's and rope to do just that.
I know I have to reinforce the joists in the roof so will get cracking on that, but has anyone else done this in the past and wouldn't mind passing on some of their wisdom?
