Hi all
Does anyone in adelaide have a scan gauge 2 & is willing for me to use it for short time.
I have a turbo diesel astra that is flashing an error light at me. I have looked on the scan gauge site and the diesel astras are not listed at all, so I dont really even know if it will connect and talk, but I would like to try.

Interestingly enough/for anyone who cares: with more investingation it turns out this model of astra has a diesel particulate filter. When the glow light flashes at you continually, it is the ecu telling you it wants to enter DPF cleaning mode. It seemed to take a long time to start cleaning mode, once I met the requirements, but it did run through and the light eventually stopped flashing.

Chaz I will still come round sunday, as I would like to know if the scan gauge is compatible.

Sorry chrispy, I bought mine a few years ago from the USA. They are available online in Australia, but I don't know if anyone in Adelaide is selling them yet. The Australian agent (Ample Outdoors) is in NSW, but also sells them on ebay which may be the easiest way to get one. Here is one.
