That is so true. I just piss in the jack clamp area as I have removed the lower rear rubber. My truck just smells of piss, **** and coffee.
If you pop the lower rubber out were the jack goes you can just remove the jack and piss in that area and runs out the lower hole. Nissan have really thought about everything in the Patrol. I thinking that on long distance convoys a hose pipe and funnel into that drain hole seems to answer all the issues as my kids need to stop every 3 hours and my wife could just use a bottle and pass it back to the kids.
I have yet to find any suitable place to do a dump in the Patrol. But hand on my heart and Nick P can back me up we use to do them in plastic bags.
That's a much better solution than what we have been doing...
We just open the window and try to piss out of it as much we can while in the seated position . It pays to be really busting when you try this and practice a few days before with your on/off control of the stream. The advantage is that you can do this while moving or stationary so it's a good skill for the kids to have if you ever visit Melbourne, and the casino.
A few gotchas of note is to warn anyone in the centre row of seats so they can close their window, and in try synergy the people in the back should warn you if you are about to be overtaken by a coach load of Chinese tourists. The cameras can invoke stage fright which in turn could give you a weak stream and you could end up with piss all over the dash.
If you are sleeping in the car and it's raining it's best to have those wind deflector things on your side windows so you can open the window a crack and bend your body in a (ironically) P shape and piss on anyone taking shelter under your car. Care should be taken to not choose the side with the awning as you may be adding a new taste dimension to the mornings breakfast or your camp chair.
Having a dump is a technical nightmare while driving, especially if you consider the wiping aspect.
You may just choose to crap it all out into your dacks so it's contained.
Then just use the dunny at maccas or KFC grabbing a few hand full of wet wipes on the way..
The same guide be used if you are asleep in the car. Just crap yourself then get up earlier than everyone else and go wash everything in a nearby stream. Bring a fishing rod and pretend you are fishing.
