Had this recall 'mod' fitted this morning .... took 1.5 hours.

Having read all the threads from other members, decided to quiz why all the fuss about a recall for nut tension and fitting of indicators..

Answer given with no deviation " wheels have been fitted with rattle guns which can be very inaccurate and the correct sequence for tightening wheel nuts is not adhered too"

As for " have you heard of any wheels coming off?"

Answer -- not in our area!!!!

Thinking about taking mine off -- reason being they look too attractive for the 'bower-birds'.... and will loose the caps in the process.

If wheels come off, on refit, will just use a texta-colour marker and draw a line across the head of the nut.
It ain't a fix.........

Short of belting every ignorant fck who doesnt use a torque wrench or torque limiter in the head with a 2lb ball pein hammer theres not much Nissan can do to influence some tooth missing rattle gun trigger happy tyre fitter with an IQ of 20 who's "been doing this stuff for fivteen years".

Being ignorant, arrogant or apethetic is no excuse for not following the owners manual.
