Some of you already know I found some 120w portable solar panels on my local kerbside council picked.
On first inspection the panels looked ok so I brought them home, but on further inspection one of the glass panels has a few cracks..

I've tested the panels and they both work perfectly good so I'm looking at repairing the broken glass panel.

I did a bit of a search on here but I came up with nothing so I want to ask a couple of question..

What products are out there that I can use to repair the panel?

I've seen on a Google search that you can use a transparent stick on film or you can mix up a resin/ epoxy type stuff and smear it over the broken glass..
What's best?

So what's out there that I could use and easy to get?
Must be UV proof also...

Cheers
Troy..馃憤

Try some Suntuf acrylic sheeting, 3mm from Bunnings.

I'm afraid it going to need more than just a dab of silicon gents...

Need to prevent the ingress of moisture, was going to say pour on a resin rather that stick on film. Maybe fiberglass resin (boat/surfboard type stuff) or google took me to this windscreen repair resin site.
windscreen-repair-resin

But looking at pics, think new glass or new module.

I don't really want to spend much money fixing it..
All I was thinking maybe a 30 buck can of polyurethane resin chit or something similar or a transparent stick on film of some sorts..
