I have to change the Ignition/Steering lock on my Truck. It's my son's D21 Navara but it looks the same as my MK

There are a couple of "Self Shearing" screws which now have to be removed. Anyone done this before and know the easy way to remove them?

Cheers Ric

Have done a few different cars (not a Navara tho) things ive used over the years.....

Ezy-out, Hammer & Cold chisel, or some you can hack saw a groove into the remaining head to fit a blade screwdriver into, or drill 2 small opposing holes into the head, then use circlip plyers to turn, or if your lucky just a good set of long nose vice grips will get them out.

Thanks guys for your suggestions:)

Did the swap this arvo. Found drilling out the thread end worked well. The drill bit grabbed on the screw and screwed them out backwards.
