This should open a can of worms!

Stock standard '03 Ti 4.8 (with lpg) done 160k. Been a fantastic mule which has been used to tow my 7m boat all around Aust. Previously lived in Melbourne - so have towed boat to; Whyalla (for annual snapper fishing), Bermagui (every year - yep fishing again) has done 15 trips Melb - Sydney, 18 trips Melb - Adelaide, 3 trips Melb - west coast Tassie & countless other smaller 4x4 jaunts (Dandenongs, Snowy, Bright etc).

All this has been done with totally stock standard shocks, brakes, tyres, ...everything.

Recently moved (& drove towing boat) from Melb to Airlie Beach, Qld. Now want to start towing boat further north to top of Qld (Weipa - The Cape + Borroloola, NT) to fish + camp etc.

What are (in your preference) the number one modifications & items that you'd start with to make the Ti future proof for going up north?

I mean what's primary (must do) & then secondary?

My thoughts were:

a. Duel battery system
b. Suspension (shocks, coils, bushes)
c. Long Range Tank (after ripping off the lpg system!)
d. Solar panel?
e. Obviously tyres (who likes Coopers?)
f. Whatever.

What do you guys think?
