Just spent 3 days and 2 night at Stony Creek Bush Camp, 4kms out of Wilmington South Oz.
This is a re-opened campground after being closed for about 5 years. New owners have improved the place already with new toilets and showers. Powered and unpowered sites are all set in a nice bush setting.
The campground is accessed via a well maintained 2km gravel road.
Rates are cheap, hosts are friendly and the place is well maintained.

We had a relaxing couple of days there with good people and friendly campfires.

Here are a few pics from the trip.

You'd know them better than me George. :p
Bridle Trail is free and pretty basic.
Stony Creek near Alligator Gorge is a good track.
There are also three tracks you have to pay for over at the Horseshoe Range.

The Mt Lofty club has an event happening on a property somewhere out of Peterborough in October and i was told that the tracks are pretty good , only Association club members invited to attend .

It's a family camping weekend with 4wding on their tracks and some games for the kids, 4wding 'tests' for the oldies etc. Sounds like a good weekend.
