I used an SCA 1 tone engine crane on my GU. Had to let the air out of the tyres - completely flat. Min was sitting on a 3.5 inch lift. I also used an engine leveler to tilt the engine as required to clear the radiator support panel.
If you still need clearance remove wheels and put blocks under the diff so the brake discs are just off the ground. Probably close to 6 inches there.
Thanks for that, good to know, did you pull the gearbox out with the motor or leave it in place? After changing out the transmission a couple of months ago Im thinking it may be easier to pull them out together.
