Hi All
I was changing my wheels over the other day when I noticed an oil stain on the inner side of the left hand swivel hub. It looks like it may be the ABS sensor seal as the oil stain seems pretty central to the sensor and extends up and down around the swivel hub from there. There is no oil on the outer side of the backing plate ( the side that faces the disc rotor)

I'm hoping it's just the sensor seal, but not sure. Is there anything else that might be the cause?

Thanks
Kyle

for your info:

there is no separate abs senor seal as such, as its not actually in the greasy part of the hub.

In the attached image, can you see if the grease seal or scraper have gone?

Thanks for the diagram. I take it that there is no diff oil in the knuckle flange as the oil seal in the trunion socket would hold it. The scraper and grease seal are not leaking it is all very clean in that area.

The whole thing is covered in mud now after my weekend away so a photo of it won't show anything. All I can really do is give it a clean and see if it happens again
