OK, no response to initial enquiry, so I'll try a different tack. Just looked at thread re - crank angle sensor on a 2.8 which shows the crank angle sensor to be on the block, sensing pulley position. The advice I have been given is that on the 4.5, the crank angle sensor is part of the distributor assembly. Is this correct, as the sensor on the block makes more sense in sensing the angle of the crank.
Does anyone out there have a picture from the TB45 manual showing the location of the sensor??
Would love some help here as the mechanic has had the vehicle for 4 weeks now and I'm getting withdrawl symptoms. He's trying to save me dough by looking for a secondhand dizzy as new is approx $1300 ex yapan.
