Hi guys quick question

I'll start off by saying yes I know GU TB45s are thirsty. But mine as a week ago is now averaging roughly 40L per hundred unloaded and open road driving. It's completely 100% stock

I'm assuming something has gone wrong in last week. Just wondering is there any common culprits and where should I look

Rust is just natural weight reduction.

Don't know TB45's very well, but I'd start by changing air and fuel filters, spark plugs and cleaning the MAF sensor, that will eliminate the basics.
Can't really help any more than that, I'm used to old mechanical diesels.

check the cat converter, the welds crack on the honeycomb and they block up
also check o2 sensor, that's the most likely culprit
