Hello all, while changing the spark plugs on the 4.8 i managed to snap off one of the small plastic bits bits which a vacuum hose connects to.(switch at front of engine). it connects near the throttle body(has constant vacuum) the other side of switch goes to the charcoal canister. i blocked the vacuum for now.
is this vital to be replaced or what does the switch actually do. it runs fine now that i blocked the tube. i'm heading to fraser island this sat. unsure weather to chase around for a replacement switch now or do it later on.any suggestions?

The blue switch to the left of the photo bellow.

cheers
Peter
