td42 height of turbo in engine bay

How high can a turbo say a T28 sit in an engine bay in relation to the upper exhaust bolts before it starts to cause a problem?

I have a T3 manifold with the flange sitting level in height with the upper cylinder head exhaust studs, I wish to put a t3 to t28 adapter on it and then the turbo so wandering if it is feasible???
