Recently did a td conversion in my shorty been going for two weeks then driving today lost all electrics no dash lights at all. Managed to wire fuel solenoid to battery and start it to get home. But where should I start looking for the issue? Have checked all fuses and wiring I can see

I can only find one and it's for the old thermo fan for the air con can't find any others

check under bonnet son hehe

start at batt then work from there
check power at ALT fuse
check power at back of ALT
check power at ignition switch

There is a metal tab that connects to the positive terminal which passes through a plastic terminal block. Give it a jiggle to see if is cracked through. I had exactly the sane simptoms that you have described and found the metal tab had snapped.

I have had the same problem and it was the starter relay fusible link kept blowing my battery was stuffed and would blow it when i went to start it new battery and starter motor and all good

Found it was the ignition cable looked fine on the outside but wire was broke inside
