Could anyone of you guys shed some light on what this part is for, or what it does? I can't see it on the exploded engine diagram in the service manual.

Pretty sure its the oil pressure relief valve.

Maybe its for the coolant instead. Someone else will correct me im sure.

Hmm, good call! The coolant bung that I will tap into for the turbo is right behind it, so that sounds like it could very well be. Thanks!
