Hi all. Need help with identifying the following two components.

I've gone through the workshop manual and couldn't really figure out.

Need to know the what are the two marked in red

Your TD42 is a bit different to those delivered to Australia mate.

At a guess I would say the valve is there for soft shutdown or egr operation IF* it has egr.

The part on the left hand side are electronic control valves to regulate vacuum to the actuators on the intake manifold.

The part on the right is the actuator that will close off the intake partially or fully depending on what it is used for.

As much as I understand two of the three solenoids get signal from the alternator and are connected to the actuator on the inlet manifold. But the third (the one on the middle) is a mystery.

4 out of 6 pipes originating from the 3 solenoids are blocked off. And two are terminating at the inlet actuator.

The actuator on the manifold operates a butterfly,[like a petrol engine] this will

generate manifold vacuum for your brake/clutch booster [ does your engine have a vacuum

pump ?] .The assembly in the left of your pic will be the controller for above,not sure what

it all connects to, Kiro san might be able to help,

I think the vacuum is done by the vacuum pump on the alternator.
