i think its something like M12 x 1.5mm.
And FYI i could not find an adaptor to convert it to a 1/8npt thread for an after market sender unit. Best thing you can do it buy some alloy bar stock, die the M12 1.5 on the outside, drill and tap the centre to 1/8. Just incase thats what your thinking.

yeah nah thats exactly what i was thinking. most come with a bigger adapter so i might just drill and tap that for the bigger adapter. i just dont want to use those **** things everyone tries to sell you for your top radiator hose.
yeah i have one of those alloy units you put in your top hose. cost me like 10 bucks off ebay. have yet to put it in.
When i got my aftermarket gauge, i struggled to find an adapter. VDO and many after market gauge companies don't do them. I then got the hose thingo and was going to run the gauge with with factory one to see just how far off it was.
