hi
thinking about getting an after market temp gauge as i f***ed up the sender on on the factory one. Striped the thread, taped wrong one in.
I was looking at the after marked ones on ebay and they all show you the temperature in 'C what is nice but i couldn't have a clue what the normal operating temperature is or at what temperature it starts to overheat. or is there a way to fix the thread on the factory one for less then the price of aftermarked gauge which can be bought from $30

normal operating temp would be around 80 to 100 deg , overheating probly 110 and up , getting the thread fixed for under 30 bucks is pushing it i think

^^^^ what he said mate, and the factory temp gauge is pretty average with a big blank spot in the middle to NOT freak you out. The after market will always be better.

Whack the old sender in and just use it as a plug and put the new sender into a different spot and you are on a winner.
