The higher the negative offset means a wider wheel track.yeah i was looking at his other comment about uncertainty with 17x9 -6 offset. The 16x8 will be a -12 offset making the 17x9 stick out further

I am running 17x9 -6 no probCorrect but the 17x9 is wider so it would poke about 6mm more that a 16x8 -12.
I was more concerned with rubbing on the inside with a -6.
