Someone will correct me if I’m wrong, I thought that disconnecting the battery protected the diodes in the alternator, shouldn’t effect the dash or fan, they probably share a common power pick up. Try to trace that back.

Old wires get brittle, they can break inside the insulation, a test light or meter is the best way to chase the power. Also could be the earths.

Terminals vibrate, you’d be surprised with the amount of movement that happens when a vehicle moves. For a start, just wiggle every terminal and fuse you can.

You can drop the tail shaft and just run the front diff. You will find the steering heavier and hear a clacking sound when turning. Love my Lokka.
