Hello Again,

is there anyone running this system

Turbo-Glide: Nissan Patrol GQ Turbo Kit fitted

I like the idea of the High mount and it looks neat and minimal..

Does not seem to have huge power increase's compared to some other turbo systems.

Just wanted some opinions..

Regards,

Hi mate!
I had the ball bearing version fitted to mine.
I have nothing but praise for them and their service.
I got a 50% increase on mine. This was the usual 40% and another 10% as my fuel pump wasn't set right initially.
I decided on this one as it is such a neat fit up and I wanted the high mount.
I hate the idea of a high mount.

1: It roasts your second battery
2: a high flow dump pipe is really hard to do, look how far back that is... What do you think that first bend under the heat shield is going to look like?
3: it doesnt need shielding to protect the paint on your bonnet.

You're never going to put a red hot turbo through a creek deep enough to touch a low mount, you're going to check the crossing first which gives it time to cool.

Does it include the air filter?
Yep, it's each to their own and depends what you want from it.

The Turboglide kit comes with the heat shielding which should help with points 1 & 3.
The truck was dyno'd before and after. I got the power increases I wanted, so I'm not going to worry about dump pipes. Getting the turbo up high was more of a priority for me. You would be waiting a long time for the turbo housing to cool sufficiently for some hi country crossing.

The kit uses a modified pre-filter assembly which, again, is fine for the power increases I wanted/got. I really like the way it seals compared to some.

Alooke, yes, Australia seems a lot flatter with a turbo! It just gets a bit more boring being in 5th all the time ;)
