So I have had a long issue that you may have participated in my diagnosis,
I am due for dyno testing on tuesday but we (mechanic and I ) that it will be turbo related.

I believe it maybe related to the exhaust side of the turbo..
Question: Is that something joe blogs can do ?
Where is the best/cheapest place to get parts from for the Garrett on the ZD30DI?

This is my first dabble in to turbo land.

Hey mate im not sure you would have great success repairing a VANT unit.
They are all set up on a flow bench when they are built new. If you were to somehow get parts you would need to find a tuner who is very clued up to get near the same performance out of it.

Garrett recommend replacement instead of repair for this reason.

The oem is technically rebuildable but it's not worth it. Has to be a be done by a specialist.
If it is the turbo and not a vacuum issue then you are better off replacing it.
There are several places doing replacements these days. It all depends on your budget.
Prices start with Forfront which is less than half the price of oem up to the likes of Gturbo which are over 3k. (The Gturbo Di Patrol has the highest power output of any Di in the country.)
GCG and UFI are the two other very good options and are priced between the Forefront and Gturbo.

If you have 5k and have the mods to drive it then your can get one of these and go sick. 99% of people would never go this far.
