Good day everyone. I want to tour to Victoria Falls. We're going to be about 4 to 5 vehicles. We want to drive and camp where we come. Deer botswana to Victoria falls and back. That's what I got. I need more information
Where do I get permits to camp in botswana.
How far are the villages or places where we can fill up gasoline and water
What do we need
When is the best time to do something like this
Where do I start to arrange such a thing.

It will only happen next year but already wants to get everything started and maybe do short trips to see what I need and how long I can finish without getting into a town or something like that

Thank you very much
French

Sterkte! Klink na 'n lekker trip.

EDIT with English translation:
Frans, mate, you might have to wait a while before you get any reaction here. The majority of blokes on here are in Australia. Before I moved to AUS I received a lot of good advice on www.4x4community.co.za. The guys there were always very helpful.

I suggest you try there. If you need advice on anything Patrol related, this forum is the right place for you, but this English speaking lot don't understand Afrikaans.

Spent a fair bit of time at Vic falls last year on the Zambia side, plenty of accom and fuel available there. Lusaka is a big town. Hope that helps.

Frans,
you might try one of our members on here Nicolas, @Swiss gu, he runs a company called Geko Expeditions and I am sure he would have a good knowledge of what is needed to get permits to travel this region.

Good idea, I'm sure he would, was talking to him the other day, he's itching to get back on the road.

Johnboy... was just about to post what you said.... haha... But It was actually nice to see AndrieK type a little Afrikaans. I'm sure it made him just a little homesick.
I see he has posted this on the .co.za Patrol site.

My wife is Welsh so we don't speak Afrikaans at home, but it's quite funny that both my kids decided that they now want to learn Afrikaans while in lockdown. :ROFLMAO:
