isn't a conversion kit about a $1000 or so with all the bits? you'd probably only find someone with that type of kit already installed?!? I'd look for a wreck with it in, but not sure how common this is?!?
It might be faster and more rewarding to save up for the new complete kit?
I've been thinking of putting one of these engines in too... But so far I've stayed with the simplicity (and dirtyness) of the SD33

Hi, im in the starting bits of putting a ford ef fiul injected engine in my mk .
the Dellows kit is $1200.00 plus shipping to you .

at this point in time there closed for chrismas and will be back on the 11 of February thats when im will be ordering my kit in the mean time im im rewire my mk to a new loom as the bloke i got the MK of put a new autonator on with an interal regulator and burned half the loom.
Speaking to the guy from dellows and Vic roads getting it reg with xflow should be easy using dellow kit aslong as I don't need to weld any mounts etc

They said if engine is similar size to way can come in the car from factory , pollution gear similar and no welding to chassis won't need engineer report
Plus just go in for an engine change

i would seriously consider a chev over a xflow. the conversion kit will be roughly the same price, same difficulties with wiring and exhaust etc. the chev has much more aftermarket support. and you dont have to get 350s, there are 400 for the keen or 305/307 and even smaller for those on a budget.
Engine conversions seem different between states,which does cause conflict on a forum
X Flow conversion seems a fair thing,gee the motors can be had for bugger all
Even the commonwhore V6 conversion is good,again had for cheap
But as neRok mentions all the $$$ and all the hassles mite as well go V8
Keep an eye on evilbay,conversion kits on there all the time
I think you may have to to mod the the engine mounts as the patrol mounts are to far forward and the fords are in the middle.
Plus Dellows engine mounts are desinged to be welded or BOLTED on to the Shassis.
Plus the oil filter on the ford engine and the patrol engine mounts will not clear when you put it in.
Well the MK im doing up had the P40 motor in it .
