Just picked up my second hand Warn winch today, got it in the shed and sat it next to my deceased Tigerz11 and a mates original Aldi winch (which lived a hard life and died winching a massive log underwater for ages). I was astonished at the size difference!!!
It's heaps different! Im not sure what to trust, is the Warn over-engineered for being 9,000lb or even 12,000lb or is the Tigerz11 under-engineered for 9,000lb or even 12,000lb and is the Aldi neutral! Im not sure???

Eitherway looks like the Aldi is a good buy and the Warn I assume once freshened up will last me longer than the Tigerz11
Notes:
- The Aldi and Warn's clutch lever feels like a nicer turn and feels like it engages better, even when on the ground.
- I do like the actual clutch lever on the Tigerz11 better.
- The hand controls for the Aldi and Warn is WAY better.
- Aldi and Warn control box is not sealed, but my Tigerz11 control box stuffed up twice because it didn't seal just right and kept moisture inside the box which also killed it and it was mounted under the bonnet where it is warm and safe from dirt. As mentioned previously the Aldi died underwater and all the solenoids work on the Aldi and the Warn and that looks like it has had a decent life as they both have dirt inside the box.
- Good cable attachments to drum, I had a few issues with the Tigerz as you do not screw on the rope. Not a biggy but its something.
