Gidday Blokes,

I have a water leak... strange as it may sound.

Every morning for the past week or so I have noticed a pool of water on the ground each morning in the shed. The pool of water is on the drivers side behind the rear wheel. Upon inspection there is a line of water running down the middle of the back of the rear mudflap.

My question is this...

Is there anything in that area (in the guard well behind the rear wheel) that could leak water (like an airconditioning component or something) or is it more likely to be a blocked drain vent that needs clearing?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I have a similar issue. Behind the rear wheel mud flaps, in the body there is a bung. Mine has a H/D power cable and my electronic rust prevention wire going through mine on the driver side. After driving on wet roads, it always leaks water. When I put in my rust prevention (H/D power cable already there) and pulled out the bung, a river flowed out of it. And no, river crossings are not an issue here.

Anyway, my current thinking is that when on wet roads, there is less pressure in the cabin and it is sucking air and water spray in through the bung. I have no other explanation for it.

Yeah, mine doesn't have rear A/C, and I doubt it would make anything cold enough at the rear to cause condensation.
