So another of those "gettin ta know ya" threads lol

So what have you done to your patrol today?

Well today I fitted my airhorns, changed the rear brake pads and cleaned up the winch wiring so as not to spray sparks across the grill when in use

I think my rear brakes have not been working for some time

Finally installed extra mesh on the snorkel to stop bugs clogging up the air cleaner, cut to size and extra holes in the rubber mat I had for ages in the cargo/boot so I can tie the fridge down and to reward myself for all that effort I've cracked open the 5L Heineken keg  I was given before Xmass for a extra effort I put in for some bloke to get him out of trouble.

Driver's door wouldn't open from inside. Took the panel off and found that the plastic guide arm had collapsed. Made a new one from a bit of brass and now all is perfect again. Plastic doesn't last forever...hope the brass will.

Carried new superior comp spec draglink and tie rod up to shed, was meaning to put them on but went to sleep instead. Long few weeks at work.

Looked at how I can chop the rear tie down points of in prep for putting on my second 3" SS exhaust ip, then looked at the welder and saw its got sweet FA gas left, damn. Now need to go to BOC for another bottle.

Got my wife to drop at the car cleaners to have carpet's washed and the leather seats treated. As I haven’t been in it since Dec last year and I guess it could do with spring clean and freshen up. Home in May thank god. Good point must order 4 new tires for the old girl.

Cleaned out the inside and tidied the rear drawers, finally, after the move. Gotta sort the garage so I can start some more work on it, troll that is.

I drove mine!

I have a work vehicle now so I make sure the Patrol gets driven once a week.

It's been my observation that vehicles seem to deteriorate more through lack of use compared to regular occasional use.

Some say I should sell the Patrol cause I'm still paying it off, but I don't think I could part with it unless I really had too.

Cheers

Justin

Put on new adjustable draglink, h/d tie rod from a ute, new rear bushes on the radius arms to go on after I reinforce the chassis mounts, replaced shocks (cut off the upper tube covers for clearance), replaced a rear upper arm bush, installed rear view camera system with twin camera's (one for rear view and one pointed at tow hitch)
Still to go: Brace/truss the replacement front diff housing and install, GU stg box with reverse taper, lower front drivers side panhard mount.
It never ends :( ..................but it's all good :)
