I have just been given 6 near new 750 R16 tyres. ( I relise these are normally used with split rims) that I wont to try off road. What size rims do I use.

I have a a set of GU rims fitted with a road tyre's - I think these gu rims are 16 x 8.

I also have 5 16 x 7 rims. I think these are too wide for the 750 r16s

5.5x16 is the correct size but you can get away with 6x16

Just out of interest, and being a split rim user, what are the tyres?
