Hello,
Some oil catch cans collect only oil, some - oil and water (turned to jelly after some time). In order to find out what is the reason water vapours to enter the crank case, please everybody who drained his oil catch can to participate this Questionary:
1. Engine cylinder volume (1.4L / 1.6L / 2.0L / etc.)
2. Engine mileage
3. Fuel (gasoline / diesel)
4. Crank case ventilation type (simple vent / PCV system with fresh air ventilation of the crank case)
5. Oil Catch Can type (empty can / internally modified can / with filter element)
6. EGR (yes / no / blocked)
7. Average weather conditions between last 2 drains (dry cold / wet cold / wet warm / etc.)
8. Estimated mileage between last 2 drains
9. What you drained (only oil / 20% oil and 80% water / jelly with little oil / etc.)
Before to start thinking about the reason, please wait for some raw "material".
