Just finished replacing two lower ball joints Saturday on the Navara both sides front.
Not such an easy job but dooable!!
I got a Range Rover P38 in at the moment for the same thing and on that it's a way bigger job at least the Navara lower ones screw out and screw back in...the P38 require a special tool and are a Major pain to do as they are pressed in. The Navara ones here needed a lot of heat to get them moving..

Update on my 2001 Patrol which started out as wine in colour...well she's now black 😄
And even more interesting is I decided to do something I wouldn't normally do " brush paint it" it needs a few more coats but it didn't come out too bad!! Ok it's not perfect and has plenty small brush marks up closer but a few more coats thinned out should sort that.
Also power was down quite a bit and it was putting up numerous codes, long story short a quick MAF sensor change cured all that and full power is back!!! 😃
She's flying... driving really nice!
I was towing yesterday with it onna long trip and it drives fantastic, so hard to get them mechanically perfect these days.

So I'm at this Black 2001 Patrol today, long story short and a recap first, I took it as a part exchange for a mint 2004 I sold on. I intended this to be a "parts car" as it needed a lot of work to the body but after numerous nights in the shed I have bought it up nice and decided to keep it myself. Anyway, who can have enough Patrols!? 🤣
Here is what's done so far .
-Glow plugs as it was very hard to start and all were missing tips.
-Chassis clean and repaint (To do)
-Front passenger hub seal (To do)
-Fixed lots of dents
-Fix more dents (To do)
-Painted it black (Was wine)
- Painted the steel wheels.
-New steering damper.
-New track rod passenger side.
-Fixed passenger side indicator lamp.
-Fitted and sprayed spare wheel.
-Fixed rear alloy step (Straightened)
-Fitted new Radiator
-Changed MAF sensor
-Cleaned out interior.
-Tightened front wheel bearings.
-Just gave her a full service oil / diesel filters etc.
-Fixed vaccum hoses as one has broken away from vaccum cannister up top and turbo wasn't been activated properly.
-Fitted rear upper driver's side lamp.




Further to do list....
Fix paint a little better and straighten body more, rear passenger quarter panel is badly dented but nothing that won't push out..
Fit new lift kit/ springs & set of BFG muds!!
Fit new front door hinges as they are knackered both sides..
Fit rear wheel studs passenger side rear.
Must check all fluids under it inc gearbox/transfer case and grease up drive shaft..
Fit new windscreen as I plan on CVRT testing this and must send away to registration that it was repainted.
So that's all for now, they are all small jobs to be fair and I can tip away with it.
Next up though is this Range Rover P38 for a customer, it needs a front lower drive shaft booth and lower passenger side ball joint...an utter pain as those are pressed in and need a special tool,I'm going to have a crack at it without the tool 🤡

I bought another Patrol....low miles and fully loaded with an off-road kit too 😁😁
I just serviced it and blocked EGR.
She's driving like new,it's silver 😀
Diesel prices are gone bizerk here @2:12 per liter 🤣 that's a friend's black Patrol in the pics.

I have just bought a 2007 dual cab, have ordered the 4.5 cummins and will do a chassis extension once I finally get it regoed in ACT.
Has leather interior, sunroof etc.
