hey guys, just wanting some ideas on what this noise could be.

I had it out yesterday and the clutch still works on the pulley, but seems a bit loose and a small knocking sound. would this be baring problem or clutch pulley problem or something completely different?

Mine sound very similar, i also thought it would have been from the aircon pulley or the other pulleys. it is very hard to pinpoint some source of the noise from a running engine. but finally, i found it was my CCIC fan. i just bought this tool for easy identification where are those mechanical noises coming from...

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and it was the alternator pulley. They have a clutch in them

Mine made a similar noise only when it was started cold so left it overnight with Nissan and they put a new one in. Do you have the extended warranty because mine was replaced just before extended warranty ran out.

a new alternator? or new clutch?

I took the alternator out again and got it tested at auto elec and seemed fine. the aircon pulley still seems fine too but the tensioner pulley seems a little dodgy but that was only replaced 35,000km ago! But i am going to phone Nissan this morning as i still have warranty
