Ill try and make this short. TD42t Gu Ute. On cold start up blows heaps of white smoke but the initial start up until the oil pressure light comes off it runs fine. Has new injectors just completed a valve set and still does it. Where is the excess fuel coming from??? Any help please. Its that bad that if im not in the cab it stalls.:headwall:

My understanding is that white smoke is not excess fuel, but unburnt fuel, so if it's a cold start issue perhaps your glow plugs are crook?

I'd say its glow plugs too.

It's easy to test them, so may as well give that a crack.

Brack, I had this problem on cold start. New glow plugs didn't help much, a $1600 fuel system service from Berrima Diesel made a little difference but the biggest difference was disconnecting the glow plug sensor and bridging the wires - no more problems at all. I'll find a relevant thread and link it back here for you.
