Common fault with these tritons, seen a few now
common fault on a lot of utes. they are just not built to handle bad loading especially double cab. they see the '1 ton load rating" and go shove 1 ton behind the rear axle, beaf up the suspension causes its sagging its arse on the ground and wonder why the chassis breaks

Wow. came across one at Mt Barnett three weeks ago - might even have been this one because the guy was trying to get someone to help him with chassis cracking...

A jack under the bum, and a couple of ratchet straps over the top and around the b pillar and good to go.
Where have all the bush mechanics gone ?:(

If the camper was not fitted correctly or was not suitable (weight or whatever) for the vehicle it was attached to then insurance would decline the claim.

I did see a Patrol ute once in similar condition (sans camper) when I had mine in for a warranty check. I dunno what they had done with it but it was a rather distinct banana bend in the middle

Might want to chuck a screw or two from the floor of the camper into the roof to be sure, and chuck a couple of wraps of duct tape around the chassis to stop the bum end falling off.
There ya go, nice permanent fix.
