Pretty sure the Mau Mau were in Kenya.
Well, I’ve just learned something, Uncle Norman did go to another place after Rhodesia, and the story went that he had trouble there too. Auntie Jess was getting vague when I met her. There’s no one left to find out now. 😟

Taken from the NSW regs, because they were the easiest to find. Same rules apply everywhere though.

The Road Safety Act 1986, No. 127 of 1986, Version incorporating amendments as at 1 January 2009

191B Meaning of fatigue regulated heavy vehicle
Code:
s. 191B

    (1) A heavy vehicle is a fatigue regulated heavy vehicle if it is any of the following—

         (a) a motor vehicle with a GVM of more than 12 tonnes;

         (b) a combination with a GVM of more than 12 tonnes;

         (c) a bus.

    (2) However, a heavy vehicle is not a fatigue regulated heavy vehicle if it is any of the following—

         (a) a tram;

         (b) a motor vehicle that—

              (i) is built, or has been modified, primarily to operate as a machine or implement off-road, on a road-related area, or on an area of road that is under construction; and

              (ii) is not capable of carrying goods or passengers by road;

                   Examples

                   The following are examples of vehicles of a type referred to in paragraph (b)—

                   agricultural machine, backhoe, bulldozer, excavator, forklift, front-end loader, grader, tractor, motor vehicle registered as a special purpose vehicle.

                   The following are examples of vehicles not of a type referred to in paragraph (b)—

                   truck-mounted crane, truck-mounted drilling rig.

         (c) a motor home.

              Definition of motorhome motorhome —

              (a) means a rigid or articulated motor vehicle or combination that is built, or has been modified, primarily for residential purposes.
For any legislation on heavy vehicles you should now search NHVR as they are the powers that be in all states except WA NT & Tas

Code:
A fatigue-regulated heavy vehicle is a vehicle or combination with a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of more than 12 tonnes.

A bus of more than 4.5 tonnes fitted to carry more than 12 adults, including the driver is also a fatigue-regulated heavy vehicle.

A vehicle built or modified to operate as machinery or equipment off-road and which is not capable of carrying goods or passenger by road, is not a fatigue-regulated heavy vehicle. A motorhome is not a fatigue-regulated heavy vehicle

Scroll down to "What is a fatigue-regulated heavy vehicle?" because the crappy NHVR site doesn't allow linking directly to headings on the page :rolleyes:. I hope they're better at regulating heavy vehicles than they are at website design.

I just had our 1st incounter with NHVR, and rules.
Let's just say they can get absolutely "#%@&3.
The officers we great and no disrespect to them at all.

BUT the rulings are absolutely ludicrous.
I can drive just about the same hours if operating under BMF as a driver single driver then doing standard hrs 2up with the wife..

AND as my wife is a MC driver and in the truck she has to have have a "National work dairy" just for sitting in seat, regardless if she working or not......

but aren't you either NT or WA where NHVR has no jurisdiction

lol, obviously a pysh take.

Both are well known people, one (Tilly) an international marksman, and is the person leaning up against the dino.

The other (Oates) is a very famous writer (I have read her book Broke Heart Blues, one of the best books I have ever read, and I have read a few others), she is also a valedictorian from Syracuse University with a B.A. summa cum laude in English.

Pretty sure she would know that dinos are extinct lol.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

‘one (Tilly) an international marksman, and is the person leaning up against the dino.’

Apparently it’s Spielberg leaning against the dino. Not some dude called Tilly, but as I’ve never met either, I wouldn’t have a clue, I just go on what I read. 🤔

haha, fair enough. Spielberg is a dead ringer then.

I watched the season 2 of Top Shot on the history channel which had tilly in it and he is a spitting image (when he had some facial hair).

Turns out his is spelt tilley anyway, so my bad.
