Hi Guys

Just wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for a WR400?
A mate of mine asked if I could hook up some indicators for him but after taking the headlight off there are too many wire to choose from! :(

If anyone can help out that would be great!

i think green is right, and a brown looking wire is left. does it have wires at the back of the bike for indicators? if it does the wires are same colour up front. hope this helps.

if its a non adr model i think it will have the yz harnes plus head light. think it also would be missing brake swithes and what not. but if adr it should be all there

Cheers for the reply mate.

Apparently it had indicators on it but they were taken/smashed off and were never replaced.
However I can't fin the flasher can? Do you know where that would be located?

plug a test light into the various wires at the back of the bike and earth it. Turn the indicator on and when it flashes according to the side you want presto

i have a manual around somewhere. I will look for it tomorrow and try to help. In the meantime from memory (which is crap) the flasher can could be behind the head light on the frame or near the carby.

Just to update.

Still a no go, found the right wires but the flasher can out of a falcon i had wouldn't work, i think it might be because the little lights wont put enough load on it.
Then I tried a solid state flasher but the lights would flash bright and dull but not go out completley.

I'm thinking I might need a proper motorbike flasher can?

i think the wrs seem to eat them relays. i had a wr 250 i put 3 new ones on that, mate has a wr 450 he is on his 2nd one and yrs ago mate had a 400 he replaced it when he bought it the it died again he never replaced it again. maybe jay car might have one to suit? think the last 1 a bought was $40 0r there abouts.
