I have a 2000 Manual Patrol with a (now defunct) ZD30 engine.
It blew up at Charters Towers on our way to Cape York last June.

I have just bought a 2nd hand TD4.2 with about 160Ks that I intend fitting myself.
I thought at my age I was past this sort of stuff but I couldn't help myself.
My vehicle was pretty well modified when I got it (ex Roly if you know the vehicle) and with all the extra work I,ve done I thought this was the best option.

The reason I'm posting is that I want to pick your brains so I know what's in front of me and how to get round any obsticles.

Can anyone who has done this please advise?

Need Info

Hey guys is there anyone out there with info on this transplant.
I know there are things that need to be modified
Move engine mountings
Change "fly by wire" throttle to cable,
Adapt exhaust
and the biggie for me adapt the wiring.
Would I be advised to buy a complete dashboard and harness from a wrecker to eliminate the CPU.
Any advice would be welcome.
Also any problems I might not know about.
