I currently have a 2001 patrol wagon I want to purchase a winch bull bar for it, but in the next year I will be up dating to a latter model 2007 or so, the thing I would like to know is if I purchase a bull bar to suit a latter model can I get it to fit on my 2001 model in the mean time or are there a lot of differences, Im quite capable of making brackets and welding but I wouldnt want to modify the main structure of the bullbar for when I need to fit it back on the correct model. thanks Bruce

majority of patrols have bars on them that I've seen forsale..

Any bar can be made to fit any model, its how it will look that may differ. The clearances on old/new are all different.

the grill on a series 4 sits out about 80mm more than a series 3 so you will have a gap on the series 3 between the grill and the back edge of the bar but they mount up the same i'll post a picture later as i have just put a series4 bar on a series 3

cheers

You can't fit a bar off an early model S2 onto a late model S4 and vice versa as they are not ADR, air bag compliant for that model. Even though they are both GU's the bars have compliance stickers on them for dates of manufacture and models. You can't go cutting and welding anything either for the same reason.
