Ray , i had a restrictor in it , pulled it out 2 days ago , & fitted original gasket ,thought that because i had it restricted, the butter fly my be jamed & not reading the right parrementers , pulled all the plugs on the harness , whats your thoughts ,i will have to check wiring voltage on my days off ,

RAY .READ THE BOOK TRY TO RESET THE EGR GETTING HOT , THAN TURN ON FOR 10 SEC THEN OFF WITHOUT STARTING , RESETS BUT THEN AFTER FIRST RUN 7 switch to re start goes into fault mode.
yesterday removed the erg valve to clean ,i might run some test's before i clean it .
was wondering once i fix the problem ,should i blank it off between the manifold on the head & the egr valve , would that simulate enough or do i need flow through egr .

Ray , removed the egr valve diden't look too bad ,pulled the cover off , checked the dc motor , slight rust on the idler gear shaft ,[''o'' oring on cover was broken ] cleaned it up. [ i don't beleave that was the problem ]
check operation of motor put 12 v on the 2 lower terminals ,& cycled it open & close a dozen times ,checked harness for couninity , re fitted it test run. All good .
If i would have realised what pins opened & closed it i recon i could have freed it up by direct power to the egr valve lower terminals with out removing it. The butter fly is spring assisted closed. Thanks barc00
