To see thier shop type "VDO boost" into evilbay. They probably dont have the pyro listed in the eay shop but I was in touch with them last week and they were expecting an order of them to arrive Fri 17th April.

Bought now three sets of gauges of them, highly reccomend.

 

Foxshooter sold me a digital gauge, thermocouple and dump pipe fitting for $220 delivered. Piece of cake to fit, works like a dream. And his service is excellent, too.

These guys are in Springvale, Pickup is ok.

I have contacted Foxshooter re one of those gauges. Just wondering how you have fixed it into the pod?

I guess the VDO or other kits come with the male fitting and I'll have the exhaust guys weld an appropriate socket into the new 3" dump pipe?

Will most likely use Warragul Exhaust to do the 3" system. They have done lots - claim nearly 100 - and have them pre made in stock. They use a Redback muffler and SS from the dump to the muffler. $880 fitted. The Beaudesert kit is now a little over $1000 plus delivery.

Check out Rocket Industries for the Autometer gauges. Autobarn and the rest buy the gauges from them, put on a big markup and resell. Much better than VDO crap. Both gauges will come supplied with all the bits you will need to make them work. Why would you buy VDO when you can get Autometer for the same price or less? Autometer gauges don't rattle either.

 

i got my autometer pyro kit from autobarn, it was one they ordered in for a customer who never picked up so i got it for $250 which is really good because it is in celcius. i would go autometer over vdo anyday, vdo rattle and arent as smooth.

Pillar pod to mount the gauges

For anyone living in Brisbane, I picked up the Autron Pillar pod for $109 from Northfield Car radio, Redcliffe, 3284 5111. That was after getting a quote from autron direct at $130 plus GST plus $30 for freight. #### Rip off.

I just paid $145 to 4x4store-online for a pillar pod, inc' delivery.
$109 is a good price if you live in Bris' and I guess it would only be $18 max to post it, probably less.

I will be mounting a boost gauge and a fuel pressure gauge in the pillar pod.

I am getting a rectangular digital pyro and mounting box from foxshooter. $250 total including postage.
