Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue with the rear locker in the new ST's? My has engaged once since I bought it. The rest of the time the diff lock light just flashes and it won't engage. Also it would be awesome if anyone knows how to disengage that beeping noise that comes on when it actually is engaged and you are going faster than 20 km/h?

Cheers!

Hi Matt

Take a look under the back of the Patrol at the diff and check to see if either of the vacuum lines have come off. Also I have found that the diff lock wont engage without some slip from either of the rear wheels. For example I can drive for quite some time with full traction and the diff lock wont engage and the light on the dash will be flashing. One quick way to test it is to do some circles on gravel or wet dirt surface to test how quickly the diff lock engages.

I have found the same on mine. Had issues and found vac line disconnected. Also won't engage unless I do a few tight turns to slip a wheel or lift a tyre or something. Sometimes have to do the same to get it to disengage.
