G'day, I have been chasing an elusive issue for a while now on my 2003 GU ute.
Basically, I can feel every bump through the steering, worse at around 80-90km/hr. When driving and I hit a bump or divet in the road the steering wheel shimmies, feels light and wanders breifly left and right. It doesn't really feel like death wobbles, more so bump steer.
Over the time I've replaced and fitted;
new wheel bearings, kingpin bearings (shims also removed, New shocks, superflex hybrid arms, welded washers around elongated radius holes, new panhard bushes (metal sleeve on the bush felt loose on the axle mounting), wheel alignment.
Any ideas?
