Hi all, the last couple of times I have driven my 2000 zd30 auto, I have noticed when it is put into neutral to park, that the revs are going up to about 1200. I have checked the heat switch and that is turned off, so that's not the cause. Sometimes if I stop and restart the engine it goes back down to 750 as per normal. I have checked for fault codes, just came up with the mysterious 0505, that is not listed. So i'm assuming all is well with the sensors etc.
Any thoughts on what may be causing this ?
I have also noticed for a month or so that it is harder to start in the mornings, I have to crank it over a lot longer for it to start. I don't think it is due to colder weather as I owned the car last year and it fired up first crank,(after heating the coils of course). I'm wondering if there is a heater coil problem. Any thoughts on this and if so, how do I check the coils?
Thanks,
Paul.
