We're pretty much competing to get our conversions done haha.

Yours is going to be a bit better than mine though :(

Rich Crunt...

NICE!!

Suspension looks like a top set up.

I need to have a look at this when you are finished, I want to do a similar rear end (long arms and raised shock mounts) without the antirock bar.

Are you tempted to do an extra cab conversion with old body at some stage?

Cheers!

Nah old cab is buggered, even got dents in the roof / gutters. And B-pillar is a bit bent haha, otherwise I would of used it for extra cab chop.

How did I only stumble across this now?
Looking sweet mate
How did you put the wagon on its side? Any pics?

You only seen it now because its been a CIA build the whole time

The long wait is over and now we can all see what you have been busy working away on. Wagon gone and got a ute with 4.8 nice one Jamie. You don't need the turbo, more trouble then what its worth, you'll only break chit and be forever fixing it rather then driving it.

Edit; I think it takes a bit of balls also to fess up that you put it on its side. I'll be farked if I will own up to the amount of times I have put vehicles on there side or the one that I rolled. Guess if you haven't been in that predicament your just not trying hard enough.

Thanks Bogger!

I've known all along the con's of the turbo idea haha, NA simple, easy realable power :) don't need power to have a capable fourby. I can drive faster with better suspension than I can with more power haha

Haha nah all good! Don't know your vehicles limits until you push them haha, all part of the fun. Wasn't even a good one, was a slow boring lie down lol

niice

are you going to bracing the rear hats and chassis?

how much higher are those front towers?

great build.

Yep sure am, had a superior rear coil tower brace sitting in the shed for ages so I'm just gonna whack that on.

The front towers are approx 50mm higher than factory, I should have gone a bit lower, but I was waiting ages on my shocks so I just made a conservative guesstimate off the lengths King told me.

R u using the patrol specific 10" stroke kings, and will u be going the superior 3" mediums?

I might not look in this thread for a while I might pi$$ my pants

Yes and yes. The patrol specific kings have a much better length for some reason. I thought about going to eye-eye in the front but there's no real advantage.

Not definete on spring rates yet till I know how it sits at new final weight. But most prob 3" mediums at this stage.

Great fun to be playing around like this. Looks great.

I had to stuff around for a while with 2.5 body shocks in the rear with raised lowers and top hoop etc. Passenger side shock moves a lot laterally from full bump to full droop (bloody chassis rail) Then screw a superior coil brace on = not much room for error at all. Nothing the grinder can't fix I suppose.........but would be annoying to cut into new work.

Look forward to seeing the progression.

Where are pics of it on its side?

Liking the new build!!
