also is it a hard process to remove and replace the slave cylinder my uncle knows how to do it and bleed it and everything but i want to show him i can do it by myself so just want to find out if there are any special tools i'll need or any tips u experienced guys may be able to tell me.

The piston (actuating rod) is a different length depending on if you have a 4 or 5 speed box.

i had to replace the slave cylinder on my shorty. not that hard to do, just in a pain in the arse spot to get to but youll be able to do it:D
just ring up a place where you get parts from and tell em what you want and for what make of car, year blah blah it is, they should be able to get you the right thing.

Cheers,
