Multiculturalism is a biggest crock of shyte ever purported on any Western democracy. It doesn't work, never worked and it never will. Look at the crap going on in countries with large immigrant populations and there is no hope. I actually applaud the German chancellor for having enough balls (for a woman) to admit that it is a failure. My guess is that in about 10-25 years will be having a civil unrests where western tolerant values meets eastern intolerance, contempt and hatred. What a lively present we are leaving for our children. These people are using our democracy to subvert it.
Time to move back to USSR.......
Cheers

I honestly want to head upto the city with my forby and rifle and start taking care of them. this sort of crap really pisses me off.

The police are getting injured just for doing their jobs and half of the Muslims wouldn't have a clue what their protesting about.

Quick bro there's a protest lets go smash some ****.

****ing *********.

The "movie" is nothing short of a joke, to then murder innocent people in the name of god, because they come from the same country as the movies makers is nothing short of disgusting.

I really don't see a good outcome for the west vs east argument....this **** will blow up one day.

Movie had nothing to do with the killing of the US embassy people, happened on 9/11, they used RPGs and other heavy arms, killed 11 police as well. Libyan head of state says has been in planning for months, movie only out for a week... Movie makes were Egyptian immigrants anyway.

Extremists, not a mob. The movie was just a convenient excuse at the time.

Hi,

Get the lot and deport them. They are not Australian and we shouldn't have " terrorists " here. That is what they are. Send them to Israel. They will do the " right " thing. This country is being ruined with PC crap. It has to stop some where, and we need a leader that WILL do something.

That wont happen under a democratic government. This is why I don't vote, there is no option that has the potential to produce a solid quantifiable victory of any kind.

If followers of Islam continue to do this sort of **** in Aus, (which I have no doubt we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg), then I foresee a leader being elected who preaches a hardline approach.

This can only lead to more tension.....and a big bang.

Sometimes I wish that Genghis Khan, the Roman Empire or even the bloody nazis were successful in there bid to take over the world.....If we all flew under the same flag then the world might know some peace.

The nazis murdered just over 200,000 children in auschwitz........probably not the smartest thing to add to the debate.

Hi,

We need a Government with enough " balls " to do something. I think Pauline Hanson was on the right track, the same rights for everyone. Other Parties saw her as a threat and played the race card to discredit her. More of a Man than Tony " I cant remember I'm gay " something.... If we all sit back and be PC, this great country will be ruined forever. All our kids will be second class citizens in the country their parents built. Really, it is that simple. I would like to be able to travel into the future to bring back stuff to show how we are going to be. We are built on immigration, but from the desirable ones, the others detract from our society.

No guys, our muslims are of a different type to the muslims other countries get, they are all well behaved amd adopt western values because we do multiculturalism so well

The barbarians are at the gates

We don't need this crap here in Aus. I am sure that there are extremeists in every religion and that these few people are them. I am sure that the majority of Muslims do not condone this behavior.

We all need to be tolerant and get on with one another. I can think of a thousand reasons to bung on a blue. At the very bottom of this list would be religion.

Hi,

We can all choose to ignore stuff we dont like. The reality is that it out there. We can choose to ignore it to our detriment or take action. I am not for giving people grief because I dont like their thinking. If they come to our great country to cause problems, then that is different. If they want to fit in, well welcome and have beer. A bacon and egg roll and it will soon tell who we need and who will be a problem.

The issue isn't in determining who is a problem, the issue is what to do about it/them. We can have an awesome pissing contest with "Just nuke 'em", "Shoot the lot"... and we will achieve nothing but another Cronulla riot.

I'm not saying you blokes are wrong, I say fcuk 'em too, I'm not interested in their shyt.

Bidgee man, I agree with you totally about ignoring it to our detriment, but the more I take note of the goings on of the world today, the less I want to know. Ignorance can surely be bliss for the mind of the enlightened carries the weight.

What happened in Sydney today made me angry and I have to agree, there's simply no place for it in Australia.

Good work on keeping the comments on target and relevant without getting silly.

Islam is a gentle kind forgivng religion.

And they're prepared to kill to prove it.

What I dont understand is how we ( rightfully ) keep out ultra right wing people like the Nazi sympathisers but those that would kill to defend the loving nature of their favourite imaginary friend are allowed in and they're allowed to stay here ?

It just doesnt seem that we're going in the right direction here.

Tomorrow is a new day and we all go back to playing nice. If the problem arises again, the same consequence with the same even, legal hand comes into play. Same applies if the Cronulla Riots happen again - lots of sore eyes and bruised large muscle groups.
Works for me.

Oh that is just such BS!

Didn't look too soft yesterday; I dare you to say to one of those public order coppers that they were softcokcs on the protesters yesterday?! The whole 'we're going to turn into a Muslim country with Sharia law' is such a load of alarmist BS!

The behaviour of those loons yesterday was ridiculous; this IS NOT a Muslim country where that kind of BS behaviour is acceptable. The whole premise of the 'outrage' is ridiculous - one ex crack addict cawkhead makes a film and puts it on youtube and they lose the plot - what a load!

The zealots (of ALL religions) need to take a step back and remember that we accept all religions, but we are a secular nation and not to confuse tolerance with weakness. If they cannot demonstrate similar tolerance, there will be consequences, as demonstrated yesterday.

They were discussing it on 'Today' today and the bloke (non Muslim) was just putting all the usual BS out there but there was a young woman on there (Muslim - but in jeans and top) saying that that did not represent the views of most Muslims in Oz. She did say that the Muslim young men were disconnected from wider Australian society. Well, they better get reconnected pretty damn quick!!

Eight killed worldwide

"More than 5000 Sudanese also attacked the German and British embassies."

Again, I don't understand the tolerance. What happened in Sydney was only a minor incident but there is NOTHING stopping it from escalating. The incident was controlled well, the police acted admirably no question. The underlying issue has not been addressed though.

I don't think I'm being alarmist, I think there is just cause to be pretty worried for the not so distant future of our country.

And you got it in one! Compared with across the world, it WAS a MINOR incident. And it was dealt with exceptionally well.

There IS something to stop it from escalating.............THE LAW!

The underlying issue is an inability to tolerant in a society that displays tolerance. The source of the issue is a bad movie; SOME may say, 'hey, poor form!' same as when 'The Last Temptation of Jesus Christ' hit the box office.

But running around screaming and trying to kill people? THAT is farked up and needs to be brought under control. If other countries let that happen, fine. But HERE, we don't. Carry on in the streets and anything less than a peaceful manner and you'll get gassed, introduced to Mr. Poly Baton and Ms. Riot Shield and get a bit of pet therapy (dogs) for good measure - simple!

Same would happen if anti abortionists hit the streets in a similar manner. And I'd applaud just as loudly!

X2 BBM. Give them a damn good working over then arrest and charge them. Even if the Magistrate gives them a slap on the wrist they'll know what happens if they do it again.

Personally I'd give them a long lag and then deport them. If it isn't in the law to deport then the law needs to be changed.
