For those who have had trouble, here is my pin configuration.
I also was running the wrong app when I first tried. I was running NDSII instead of NDSI

I just tried all the "lite" versions in the app store before I found the one that connects.

I use this every day

Do these work with a 4.8?
Mine arrived last week and when i connect its flashes up connected and then says "ini failed"
4.8 is not listed on their pdf instructions but 4.5 is

I haven't gotten mine to work either. Then I had a look for another app, and found multiple versions... could someone please confirm their working version?

With datascan11 on mine it will connect and stay connected but no data shown, before i connect i can scroll through the pages but as soon as i connect scrolling through the pages does nothing. The website lists 4.8 GU111 but not 4.8 GUIV anyone know if their is a difference?

Does anyone know what the boost display is reading in?
Would be better if it read in PSI.

Good morning fellas,

I received my device in the mail yesterday, and went to plug it in this morning.
I got connected, but then get ini failed in NDSI.

Looking through forums, it appears my pins may be connected incorrectly?
Any of you with this working, would you mind posting up a picture of the pin setup, please?

My adapter came with the "new revised" pin setup. I've attempted to move the yellow from 14 to 9, without any different results. Still comes up with the ini failed.

In both cases, bluetooth does connect.

Cheers,
Martin
i dont know what vehicle you have but the plug image you labelled "wrong" is exactly how i received mine last year. plugged it all together and worked perfect without having to reroute all the wiring, the only wire i changed was the blue for power, i moved it from its slot to the one immediately below for ignition power.

I have a 2000 ZD30, just received my unit, made sure the wires were connected as this:

However still getting IniFail! tried using all the NDSI however with no success. I have a Safari Dtronic chip installed, do you think that might have interfered with the connection?

Later tonight I'll try to move the wires around to make it look like this to see if it works..

Will update when i give it a go

However still getting IniFail!
i was getting the same to start only because the little plug that joins them wouldn't go fully in, i loosed the screws on the bigger plug a bit inserted the little plug all the way in then tightened screws again, also holds it in securely and stopped the IniFail message.

Another tip.
Undo all the screws and take out the giant plug for the earlier model consult connector = weight reduction.

Makes it smaller and you can tuck it up inside the plastic cover so it doesn't hang down by your legs

Ok, still no workies.... I've tried everything -

- moved the plugs around to imitate the 2 setups mentioned in the previous posts
- removed the big plastic housing to wedge in the small connector
- tried all available NSDI versions

WHY DOES IT NOT WORK FOR ME?!?!?!?

I really just want to see the water temp from the engine's water temp sensor instead of the one I have installed on the top radiator pipe...

It's a 2000 ZD30, its a consult protocol so technically it should work right?
Yep should definitely work
